Class 100 cleanroom cabinet oven for curing small rubber pieces | Grieve Corporation

No. 1023 is a 550ºF, electrically-heated, Class 100 cleanroom cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for curing small rubber pieces in rotating drums at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 26” W x 26” D x 60” H.  36 kW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 2000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cleanroom cabinet oven features 6” insulated walls, Type 304, 2B stainless steel interior with ½” inside radius corners and all seams welded, ground and polished, top-mounted heat chamber, two motorized stainless steel shafts cantilevered through the rear wall of the oven with a drum coupling device to rotate the loads, four 18” diameter x 18” deep perforated stainless steel drums with internal stirring paddles and access doors on one end.    The oven also contains 24” x 24” x 6” thick HEPA fresh air filters with 2” prefilters and two 24” x 24” x 12” thick stainless steel, high-temperature HEPA recirculating filters.

No. 1023 controls include all safety equipment required for handling flammable solvents, solid state heater control relays, circuit breaker disconnect switch, automatic door switch to shut off the heaters and drum drive when the door is opened, plus a minihelic pressure gauge and validation port across each set of filters on the oven.

750ºF Belt Conveyor Oven for Curing Mold Release Onto Steel Molds

792 for curing mold release onto steel moldsNo. 792 is a gas-fired, 750ºF belt conveyor oven, currently used for curing mold release onto steel molds.  Workspace dimensions measure 42” W x 12’ D x 12” H.  800,000 BTU/HR are installed in a modulating natural gas burner to heat the unit, while a 7800 CFM recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.  The oven travel comprises a 4’ long open belt loading zone, 1’ long insulated but unheated vestibule entrance, 12’ long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow, 1’ long open zone, 2’ long cooling zone and 2’ long open unloading zone.

This Grieve jumbo walk-in batch oven features 6” insulated walls, a 36” wide x 1” x 1” flatwire conveyor belt with ½ HP motor drive, variable from 0.7 to 14.3 ipm, two 12” tubeaxial fans, each driven by a ½ HP motor, to push/pull air through the cooling zone, an aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus all safety equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 650 CFM powered forced exhauster.

Three-level Rotary Hearth Oven for Curing Sealant

1029rtNo. 1029 is a 500ºF, three-level rotary hearth electric oven from Grieve, currently used for curing sealant onto molded plastic parts at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions on this oven measure 36” W x 32” D x 30” H.   24 KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow, front to rear, across the workload.

This Grieve rotary hearth oven features 6” insulated walls, Type 304, 2B stainless steel interior, integral leg stand, an 8” W x 23” H front access opening built into the oven door and a 30” diameter three-level hearth constructed from perforated steel sheet and driven by a ¼-HP motor through a gear reducer with torque limiting device.

Controls onboard No. 1029 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, circuit breaker disconnect switch plus a proximity switch and 12-tooth sprocket to index the hearth a 1/12 rotation per index.

500ºF Gas-fired Belt Conveyor Oven for Heating and Curing Battery Cans

No. 838 is a 500oF gas-fired belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for heating and curing battery cans at a customer’s facility.

838 Grieve

Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 30” wide x 25’ deep by 18” high, with 4’ long open belt loading and unloading zones at each end.  A 10,000 CFM, 7 ½-HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the load, while a 350,000 BTU/HR modulating natural gas burner provides heat to the workspace.

No. 838 features a 24” wide, B-42-24-16 balanced weave conveyor belt with roller chain edge drive, powered by a 1/3-HP motor drive with variable speeds from 5-100 ipm.

This Grieve conveyor oven has an aluminized steel interior and exterior, with 4” insulated walls throughout.  Side doors allow access to the entire workspace.

All safety and control equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment is on-board this unit, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.

150ºF Electric Drawer Oven for Curing Printing Plates

No. 845 is a 150oF electrically-heated drawer oven from Grieve, currently used for curing printing plates at a customer’s facility.

845 GrieveWorkspace dimensions inside this oven measure 88” wide x 63” deep x 60” high.  80KW installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements provide the heat, while a 6,000 CFM, 5-HP recirculating blower furnishes horizontal front-to-back airflow across the workloads.

This Grieve drawer oven features 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus an access door to the heat chamber for maintenance.  Eight drawers, 84” wide x 54” long x 1” high, are each rated for 50 lb. loading. Explosion venting panels are built into the oven roof.

Safety equipment is on-board this Grieve oven to handle 1.34 gallons of flammable solvents, including a manual reset excess temperature controller, back-up heating element relay, separately powered forced exhauster, exhauster airflow safety switch, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and purge timer.

The drawers on the No. 845 open to extend 40” in front of the oven to accommodate the large workpieces involved in this particular application.

Vertical Conveyor Humidity Chamber from Grieve

904 GrieveNo. 904 is an electric-heat humidity chamber with vertical conveyor, currently in use to cure silicone rubber at a customer’s facility.  The unit provides a maximum relative humidity of 90% at 100°F.  Workspace dimensions measure 36”W x 45”D x 119”H.  Fourteen (14) stainless steel trays are supported at each side by a heavy-duty stainless steel roller chain, driven by a 1/2-HP motor.  The trays are indexed into the load/unload position.

A 600 CFM, 1/2-HP recirculating blower provides vertical upward airflow to the workload as it travels through the chamber.  A self-contained humidifier with 30 lb./hr capacity is onboard this Grieve unit.

Overall construction features include an aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior with continuously backwelded seams, top-mounted heat chamber, all interior drive components of 304 stainless steel, two (2) independent doors for access to heat chamber and workspace, loading table and safety light curtain at the load/unload position, plus a viewing window.

No. 904 is built to stringent JIC/NEMA 12 electrical standards and includes a digital indicating humidity controller calibrating relative humidity in the chamber.

500°F Gas-heated Walk-in Oven from Grieve

884 GrieveNo. 884 is a 500°F electric universal oven from Grieve, currently used to cure rubber parts with steel inserts.  Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 52”W x 48”D x 72”H.

350,000 BTU/HR installed in a modulating natural gas burner heat workspace, while a 4,200 CFM, 3-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload.  A top-mounted heat chamber and remote-mounted control panel (shown aside the unit in the photo) are included.

This walk-in oven features a stainless steel exterior with #4 brushed finish, Type 430 stainless steel interior, 4” thick insulated walls, 2” thick insulated floor with two pairs of truck wheel guide tracks and motorized dampers on the exhaust for accelerated cooling.

No. 884 has all safety equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 975 CFM, 1-HP powered forced exhauster.

The oven also includes a digital programming temperature controller, tower light to indicate oven status and fused disconnect switch.

High-temperature Cabinet Oven from Grieve

887 GrievertNo. 887 is a gas-fired 1000°F cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for curing metal coatings onto parts.  The unit’s workspace dimensions measure 38”W x 38”D x 38”H.  175,000 BTU/HR installed in a modulating natural gas burner provide heat, while a 2,000 CFM, 2-HP stainless steel recirculating blower furnishes a horizontal airflow across the workload.

This cabinet oven features an aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, plus inner and outer door gaskets which seal against the door plug and the front face of the oven.

No. 887 has 8” thick insulated oven walls, consisting of 2” of 1900°F block and 6” of 10 lb/cf density rockwool insulation.

All safety equipment is onboard as required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.

A digital indicating temperature controller is also provided.
