350ºF Electric Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

832 GrieveNo. 832 is a 350OF electrically-heated belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used to cure an epoxy resin bond between a plastic frame and a glass mirror panel at a customer’s production facility.

Workspace on this oven measures 30” wide x 120” deep x 15” high.  At each end of the workspace, an 18” open belt zone is provided for loading and unloading.

18KW installed in Nichrome wire heating elements heats the workspace, where a 4100 CFM, 3HP recirculating blower provides downward vertical airflow to the load.  4” insulated walls are built into No. 832, which features an aluminized steel interior and exterior.

The 24” wide Chemglas 5×5 mesh fiberglass fabric conveyor belt coated with Teflon is powered by a ¼-HP motor belt drive with variable speeds from 1.5 to 30 ipm.  A belt tracking system is on-board, consisting of photoelectric eyes to sense belt position and shift a pneumatically operated steering roller.

A digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch are all included on this oven.  A built-in side access door allows service to the workspace.

650ºF Electric Heat Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

894 GrieveNo. 894 is a 650°F electric heat belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for sintering Teflon material onto flat sheets at a customer’s facility.  The workspace dimensions of this unit measure 30”W x 48”D x 15”H.

Workloads travel on a 24” wide, 1/2” x 1/2” 316 stainless steel conveyor belt, driven by a 1/4 HP motor drive, variable from 0.4 to 8.4 inches per minute.  An 18” long open belt loading zone, 48” insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and 18” long open belt unloading zone area are provided.

60 kW total are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 2000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides vertical upward and downward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve oven features an aluminized steel exterior, 6” thick insulated walls, Type 304, 2B stainless steel interior and an exhaust hood over each end of the workspace, equipped with a 12” diameter tubeaxil fan driven by a 1/2-HP motor.

No. 894 also includes a magnehelic pressure gauge on the blower outlet and exhauster outlet, a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate control contactors, recording temperature controller and SCR power controller.  The unit is constructed to stringent JIC/NEMA 12 electrical standards.

500°F Gas-heated Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

876 GrieveNo. 876 is a 500ºF gas-heated belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for drying brass and aluminum parts at a customer’s facility.  The workspace dimensions of this unit measure 22”W x 126”D x 15”H.  The workload rides through an 18” long open belt loading zone, 126” long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow, 6” long open zone, 72” long cooling zone and a 12” long open unloading zone.

350,000 BTU/HR installed in a modulating natural gas burner heat the workspace, while a 3000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower furnishes vertical downward airflow to the workload.  This oven features an aluminized steel interior and exterior, 4” thick insulated walls and two 12” diameter tubeaxial fans, each driven by a _-HP motor to push/pull air through the cooling zone.  A side oven door allows access to the heat chamber.

No. 876 includes a 16”W, B36-24-14 conveyor belt with 3”H flex plate edges, driven by a 1/3-HP motor with variable speed from 1.3 to 26 feet per minute.

All safety equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment is onboard, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.
