Combination Airflow Jumbo Walk-in Oven for Curing Composite Parts

This Grieve oven features 4” insulated walls throughout, removable top-mounted heat chamber (shown removed in photo), aluminized steel interior and exterior, front and rear double doors with air-operated opening assist plus an 8” x 10” double pane Pyrex window in each door, 1/4” thick plate floor and four interior oven lights. The unit was split into six sections for installation clearance at the customer’s factory.
No. 999 is equipped with all safety equipment for handling flammable solvents, including explosion venting door hardware, 2600CFM powered forced exhauster and motorized dampers on intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling. The unit is built to NEMA 12 electrical standards.
Controls on this Grieve jumbo combination walk-in oven include a digital programming temperature controller, strip chart recorder, SCR power controller and ten digital countdown timers.

Electrically-heated 850ºF Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

The conveyor consists of a 2′ long open belt loading heat zone, 12′ long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and a 2′ long open unloading zone.
7″ thick insulated walls are featured throughout this rugged Grieve oven, which has 80 KW total heat input installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements. A 4,200 CFM, 3 HP reciruclating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.
No. 793 further features an aluminized steel interior and exterior, as well as an 18″ W, 1″ x 1″ flatwire conveyor belt with 1/3 HP motor drive and variable speed from 2.0 to 5.7 inches per minute.
This Grieve oven’s controls and indicators are all mounted in a single enclosure for easy access.
Adjustable dampers at each end of the heat zone can be lowered near the load to minimize heat loss during operation.

The floor of the workspace is reinforced to accommodate 200 lb. loads. An 8” x 10” double-pane Pyrex window for load inspection and an interior oven light are also onboard. 1000ºF ELECTRIC INERT ATMOSPHERE OVEN

This Grieve inert atmosphere oven features 8” thick insulated walls comprising 2” of 1900ºF block and 6” of 10 lb/cf density rockwool, aluminized steel exterior and Type 304, 2B stainless steel interior with continuously backwelded seams. Special construction features for inert atmosphere use with the customer’s steam boiler include a pressure gauge, internal high-temperature gasket, all-welded expansion connection in doorway throat, air jacket on the inner oven for cooling, 1/2” thick cellular silicone rubber atmosphere door seal, blower shaft seal, positive door latching hardware, adjustable offset door hinges, outlet with pressure relief, all interior seams welded gas-tight and all wall penetrations fitted with compression fittings. An integral oven leg stand is also provided.
Controls on No. 964 include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, 10” diameter, 2-pen circular chart temperature recorder, SCR power controller and fused disconnect switch.

Two-zone Gas-heated Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

The conveyor includes a 4′ long open belt loading zone, 2′ long insulated unheated entrance vestibule, two 15′ long insulated heating zones with independent recirculated airflow and temperature controls, 2′ long insulated unheated exit vestibule and 3 1/2′ long open unloading zone.
Heat is provided by 1,600,000 BTU/HR installed in two modulating natural gas burners. Two 10,000 CFM, 7 1/2 HP recirculating blowers provide vertical downward airflow over the workload.
All safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment are included on this Grieve oven, which also features a two-pen, 10″ diameter circular chart recorder.
Other construction features on No. 791 comprise a 42″ wide, 1″ x 1/2″ flatwire conveyor belt with 1/3 HP motor drive, variable speed from 5.8 to 16.1 inches per minute, 7″ insulated walls throughout, a Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior and an exhaust hood over each end of the oven, equipped with a 12″ dia. tubeaxial fan driven by a 1/2 HP motor.

500ºF Electric Walk-in Oven from Grieve

Workspace dimensions measure 84” W x 102”D x 78”H. 420KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular elements to heat the unit, while a 17,500 CFM, 15-HP recirculating blower motor provides a combination airflow to the workload.
This unique Grieve walk-in oven features 4” thick insulated walls throughout, with the unit split into three sections (as shown in photo) to pass through a 72” doorway. The unit has a 16 Ga. aluminized steel interior, 16 Ga. stainless steel heating chamber interior and aluminized steel exterior, as well as a remote-mounted 1000 CFM powered forced exhauster. In addition, two 30” x 24” x 6” thick stainless steel high-temperature HEPA filters are onboard to filter exhaust air, while twelve 24” x 24” x 6” thick stainless steel high-temperature 65% ASHRAE recirculating filters are installed in the air return ductwork at the ceiling level.

Load-rotating 500°F Cabinet Oven from Grieve

A 40 KW heat input is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 3,300 CFM, 2 HP recirculating blower provides a combination horizontal/vertical airflow to the workload.
Grieve engineers designed and built the internal rotating framework with two stainless steel roller assemblies, each with a clamp to hold the parts baskets in place. A variable speed 2 HP drive, 0-5 RPM, with brake motor and limit switch, stop the baskets in the upright position.
No. 801 features also include a Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, 4” insulated walls, a digital indicating temperature controller and manual reset excess temperature controller.
