500°F Class 100 Cleanroom Cabinet Oven

795 GrieveNo. 795 is an eletrically-heated cabinet oven from Grieve, designed for use in a Class 100 cleanroom.  It is currently being utilized for drying water from stainless steel and quartz parts.  The unit has a maximum operating temperature of 500°F and workspace dimensions of 48″ W x 27″ D x 66″ H.

A 30 KW total heat input is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements.  A 1,500 CFM, 2 HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cleanroom oven features a stainless steel exterior with #4 brushed finish, as well as a Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior with 1/2″ inside radius corners, seams welded, ground and polished.

A 12″ x 12″ x 6″ thick HEPA fresh air filter with 2″ prefilter and a 30″ x 24″ x 12″ thick stainless steel, high-temperature HEPA recirculating filter are provided, with a minihelic pressure gauge and DOP validation port across each filter.

Safety equipment includes a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller and SCR power controller.

No. 795 construction features 4″ insulated walls, independent double doors and twenty pairs of shelf supports with ten removable shelves included.

1382°F Inert Atmosphere Cabinet Oven from Grieve

799 GrieveNo. 799 is an electrically-heated 1382°F(~750°C) inert atmosphere cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for processing ceramic components, prior to assembly. 60KW are installed in alloy wire high temperature plug heaters. Workspace dimensions are 38” wide x 38” deep x 50” high.

The unit has 12” thick insulated walls comprised of 2” of 1900°F block and 10” of 10lb. density rockwool. The oven has a type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior and is equipped with a solenoid operated door lock.

A 3000 CFM, 3-HP alloy recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the oven and a 325 CFM cooling blower pulls room air through the air jacket on the inner oven for additional cooling.

An inert atmosphere oven requires a pressure regulator, flow meter, pressure gauge and internal high temperature gasket. Also needed was a bellow type seal in the doorway throat area, 1/2” thick silicone rubber atmosphere seal and blower shaft seal. Positive latching door hardware, adjustable offset door hinges and an outlet with pressure relief were added as well. To keep gas from escaping, the interior seams were welded gas-tight and all wall penetrations fitted with compression fittings.

500ºF Electric Walk-in Oven

825Grieve Corporation introduces No. 825, a 500°F electric walk-in oven, currently in use for curing latex at a customer’s facility.  This unit is a modified version of the company’s standard model WTH566-500 walk-in oven.

Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 54” wide x 72” deep x 72” high.  30 kW power is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 6000 CFM, 5 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload.

Construction features on No. 825 include 4” thick insulated walls, 2” insulated floor with truck wheel guide-tracks, aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B stainless steel interior with continuously front-welded seams, cellular silicone rubber door gasket, stainless steel water cooling coil located in heat chamber, removable top-mounted heat chamber, to minimize floor space requirements, and the oven body split into three sections for customer loading onto their elevator.

Special safety equipment onboard this Grieve oven includes a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, SCR power controller and a 6” strip chart recorder.

This special walk-in oven was entirely designed, engineered, built and full tested by Grieve.

350ºF Electric Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

832 GrieveNo. 832 is a 350OF electrically-heated belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used to cure an epoxy resin bond between a plastic frame and a glass mirror panel at a customer’s production facility.

Workspace on this oven measures 30” wide x 120” deep x 15” high.  At each end of the workspace, an 18” open belt zone is provided for loading and unloading.

18KW installed in Nichrome wire heating elements heats the workspace, where a 4100 CFM, 3HP recirculating blower provides downward vertical airflow to the load.  4” insulated walls are built into No. 832, which features an aluminized steel interior and exterior.

The 24” wide Chemglas 5×5 mesh fiberglass fabric conveyor belt coated with Teflon is powered by a ¼-HP motor belt drive with variable speeds from 1.5 to 30 ipm.  A belt tracking system is on-board, consisting of photoelectric eyes to sense belt position and shift a pneumatically operated steering roller.

A digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch are all included on this oven.  A built-in side access door allows service to the workspace.

500ºF Gas-fired Walk-in Oven

No. 833 is a standard 500oF gas-fired walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used to cure adhesive bonds between glass and plastic surfaces on products manufactured at a customer’s facility.

833 GrieveWorkspace in this oven measures 6’ wide x 12’ deep x 6’6” high. A 600,000 BTU/HR modulating natural gas burner provides heat to this oven, while a 12,500 CFM, 10-HP recirculating blower maintains full horizontal airflow across the workload.

Safety equipment on No. 833 includes all components required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 650 CFM, ½-HP powered forced exhauster.  A digital indicating temperature controller is also installed.

This Grieve walk-in oven features an aluminized steel interior and exterior, 4” insulated walls throughout and double doors equipped with drag seals, since the customer required the doorsill be eliminated.

500°F Electric Cabinet Oven from Grieve

912 GrieveNo. 912 is an electrically-heated, 500°F cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for curing rubber parts.  Workspace dimensions measure 20”W x 20”D x 26”H on this oven, which features a stainless steel exterior with #4 brushed finish and a Type 430 stainless steel interior with continuously backwelded seams and 4” thick insulated walls.

10kW installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements and a 600 CFM, 1/2HP recirculating blower provide heated horizontal airflow across the workload.

This oven includes a 325 CFM powered forced exhauster, as well as a motorized damper on the exhaust for accelerated cooling.  The oven exhaust discharges into a Type 304 stainless steel scrubber unit with brass piping.  The scrubber uses recirculated water sprayed by a 1-1/2HP pump into the exhaust to remove particulates.

No. 912 has a digital indicating temperature controller, 10” diameter circular chart recorder, fused disconnect switch and eight permanently-mounted survey thermocouples connected to a jack strip on the oven’s control panel.

500ºF Gas-fired Walk-in Oven

No. 916 is a gas-heated, 500°F high-capacity walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used for curing epoxy / phenolic fiber-reinforced parts inside steel molds.  Workspace dimensions measure 120”W x 144”D x 84”H.  800,000 BTU/hr. are installed in a modulating natural gas burner, while a 24,500 CFM, 20HP recirculating blower provides combination airflow to the workload.

This walk-in oven features an aluminized steel exterior and interior, plus 4” thick insulated walls and a removable top-mounted heat chamber (shown removed in photo).  The door sill is eliminated, as two front doors are equipped with drag seals.  The oven body was designed to split into two sections for easier shipment.

No. 916 has all safety devices required by IRI, FM, and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 325 CFM, 1/3 HP powered forced exhauster.  This Grieve oven also features a digital programming temperature controller and 10” diameter circular chart recorder.

750°F Gas-fired Vertical Conveyor Oven from Grieve

917 GrieveNo. 917 is a gas-heated, 750°F vertical conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for sintering Teflon tubes.  Workspace dimensions measure 24”W x 26”D x 53”H.  The secondary cooling zone on this oven measures 24”W x 26”D x 54”H.  350,000 BTU/hr. are installed in a modulating natural gas burner, while a 2,000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

29 trays, each 18” x 5”, rise vertically through load / unload zone, pass up through the oven heat and then down into the cooling zone below the oven.  A 1/2-HP motor drive, variable from .05 to 9 inches per minute, moves the trays through the unit.

This Grieve vertical conveyor oven features an aluminized steel exterior and interior, plus 6” thick insulated walls.  Two 12” diameter tubeaxial fans, each driven by a 3/4-HP motor, push / pull air through the cooling zone.

All safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment are onboard this Grieve oven, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.  No. 917 also features a digital indicating temperature controller and 10” diameter circular chart recorder.

350°F Gas-fired Shelf Oven from Grieve

918 GrieveNo. 918 is a gas-heated, 350°F shelf oven from Grieve, currently used for a variety of lower temperature heat processing operations at a customer’s facility.    Workspace dimensions measure 68”W x 30”D x 66”H.  100,000 BTU/hr. are installed in a modulating natural gas burner, while a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve shelf oven features an aluminized steel exterior and Type 430 stainless steel interior with 4” thick insulated walls, integrally welded construction and silicone rubber door gasket.

No. 918 has onboard all safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.  In addition, a digital indicating temperature controller displays actual and set point values.

Two nickel-plated wire shelves are included with channel shelf supports to prevent tipping.

915 GrieveNo. 915 is a gas-fired, 650°F cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for testing paint coupons. Workspace dimensions measure 26”W x 26”D x 38”H.  100,000 BTU/hr. are installed in a modulating natural gas burner, while a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides vertical upward airflow to the workload.

This cabinet oven features an aluminized steel exterior, 6” thick insulated walls and Type 430 finish stainless steel interior.  A 12”W x 8”H access hatch is installed in the main door of this oven.

Also onboard No. 915 are a digital indicating temperature controller, a top-mounted control panel and all safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.
