Grieve Corporation introduces No. 822, a 500°F electric walk-in oven, currently in use for preheating large steel dies at a customer’s facility. This unit is a modified version of Grieve’s Standard Model WTC686-500 walk-in oven.
Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 72” wide x 96” deep x 78” high. 60 kW power is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 6000 CFM, 5 HP recirculating blower provides a combination airflow which sweeps around the workload, traveling upward to a return duct.
This Grieve walk-in oven features an aluminized steel interior and exterior, double doors at each end and a removable top-mounted heat chamber.
Operating and safety equipment on this unit include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and a fused disconnect switch.

No. 974 is an electrically-heated 200ºF (~93ºC), specially insulated quench tank from Grieve, used to heat mineral oil for product curing after metal heat treating. Tank dimensions of this unit measure 22”W x 22”L x 26”D. 6.4KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular immersion heaters to heat the unit, while a 1/3-HP motorized agitator provides the necessary fluid motion in the tank.
This Grieve quench tank features 1” insulated walls with an insulated, removable cover that hangs on the front of the tank during loading and unloading (shown hanging in photo). No. 974 also has Type 316 stainless steel interior, stainless steel exterior with #4 brushed finish, Type 316 stainless steel workload basket with removable handle that rests at the top of the unit for accurate positioning of the load during quenching and a basket support to hold the basket above the quench oil for efficient draining.
Process controls onboard No. 974 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and a fused disconnect switch.

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 826, a 500°F electric walk-in oven, currently in use for curing truckloads of industrial fuses at a customer’s facility. This unit is a modified version of Grieve’s Standard Model WRH566-500 walk-in oven.
Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 54” wide x 72” deep x 72” high. 30 kW power is installed in Nichrome wire heating elements, while a 4200 CFM, 3 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload.
This oven has an aluminized steel interior and exterior, 4” insulated walls, 2” insulated floor with two pairs of truck wheel guide tracks, two independent doors on the oven front opening with a removable mullion and two shelf trucks with 10 shelf supports on 6” centers.
No. 826 safety features include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, 10” diameter circular chart recorder and a 30-hour shutdown timer.

No. 869 is an electrically-heated 500ºF (~260ºC) Class 100 cleanroom cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for curing medical rubber products at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 36”W x 36”D x 27”H. 15KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the unit, while a 750 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the load.
This Grieve Class 100 cleanroom cabinet oven features 4” insulated walls throughout, aluminized steel exterior, Type 304 2B stainless steel interior with continuously welded seams, exterior finished with white epoxy paint, #4 brushed finish stainless steel door cover and control panel face.
All necessary safety equipment is onboard No. 869 for handling flammable solvents, including explosion venting door hardware. A 130 CFM stainless steel powered forced exhauster, 12” x 12” x 6” thick HEPA fresh air filter with 2” prefilter and 24” x 30” x 6” thick stainless steel high-temperature HEPA recirculating filter are also featured on the unit.
This Grieve Class 100 cleanroom cabinet oven includes a programming and recording temperature controller and SCR power controller.

This Grieve top-loading oven features rugged construction, with an aluminized steel interior and exterior, reinforced 1/4” steel plate top, wear bars at sides of workspace, reinforced floor for 4000 lbs. loading at removable subway grate and an automatically air-operated, rear-hinged door which opens fully for easy loading via overhead material handling equipment.
Standard equipment on No. 819 includes a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch. The UL Listed control panel is front-mounted on this oven for easy access.

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 815, a 500°F electric rotary hearth oven, currently in use for preheating gears at a customer’s facility.
Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 76” wide x 76” deep x 24” high. A 72” diameter rotary hearth is constructed from angle rings with 90 1-3/8” wide x 7-3/8” long x 3-5/8” high slots to hold the workpieces on edge while processing. The hearth is driven by a 1/4 HP motor through a gear reducer with torque limiting device. The hearth indexes one position each time the loading door is opened and closed.
Two 2000 CFM, 2 HP recirculating blowers provide a vertical downward airflow over the workload. Special safety equipment for handling flammable solvents is featured on this Grieve rotary hearth oven, including a manual reset excess temperature controller, separate heating element control contactors, a 325 CFM powered exhauster, and a purge timer.
No. 815 features an aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus 4” insulated oven walls. The unit was entirely designed, engineered, built and full tested by Grieve.

Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 54” wide x 50” deep x 66” high and are accessed by placing the workloads on two tiers of four oven drawers, each 20” x 24” x 7-1/2” and rated at 400 lbs. per drawer.
80 kW power is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements. No. 809 features 6” insulated walls and aluminized steel interior/exterior construction. A 6000 CFM, 5 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across each side of the workspace.

No. 956 is a gas-fired, 800ºF (~427ºC) belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for preheating steel parts at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions measure 30”W x 108”D x 39”H. 400,000 BTU/HR are installed in a modulating natural gas burner to heat the unit, while a 4200 CFM, 3-HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow across the load.
The workload travels through a 24” long open belt loading zone, 108” long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and a 24” long open belt unloading zone. In process, the load rides on a 24” wide, 1” x 1” stainless steel conveyor belt with ¼-HP motor drive to index the belt through the oven heat chamber.
This Grieve belt conveyor oven features 6” insulated walls throughout, aluminized steel interior and exterior, motor-operated vertical lift doors at each end of the heat chamber, plus all safety equipment required by IRI, FM and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 830, a 1200°F gas-heated belt conveyor oven, currently in use for preheating electric motor rotors at a customer’s location.
Workloads travel atop a 24” wide, 1” x 1” Type 304 stainless steel flatwire conveyor belt with 3/4 HP motor drive, fixed speed of 15 feet per minute, through a 54” long open belt loading zone, 105” long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and a 36” long open unloading zone.
800,000 BTU/HR are installed in a modulating gas burner, while a 6000 CFM, 5 HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.
No. 830 features 10” thick insulated walls, comprising 2” of 1900°F block and 8” of 10 lb./cu.ft. density rockwool insulation. This conveyor oven has an aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, motor-operated vertical lift doors at each end of the heat zone and 1/4” plate work surfaces at each end of the oven.
All safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment are built into this unit, including electronic flame safeguard protection, powered forced exhauster, exhauster airflow safety switch, purge timer, hi/lo gas pressure switches, manual reset main gas valve and testing device for tight closure of main gas valve.
