No. 956 is a gas-fired, 800ºF (~427ºC) belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for preheating steel parts at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions measure 30”W x 108”D x 39”H. 400,000 BTU/HR are installed in a modulating natural gas burner to heat the unit, while a 4200 CFM, 3-HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow across the load.
The workload travels through a 24” long open belt loading zone, 108” long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and a 24” long open belt unloading zone. In process, the load rides on a 24” wide, 1” x 1” stainless steel conveyor belt with ¼-HP motor drive to index the belt through the oven heat chamber.
This Grieve belt conveyor oven features 6” insulated walls throughout, aluminized steel interior and exterior, motor-operated vertical lift doors at each end of the heat chamber, plus all safety equipment required by IRI, FM and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.
No. 956 also features a digital indicating temperature controller onboard.

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 830, a 1200°F gas-heated belt conveyor oven, currently in use for preheating electric motor rotors at a customer’s location.
Workloads travel atop a 24” wide, 1” x 1” Type 304 stainless steel flatwire conveyor belt with 3/4 HP motor drive, fixed speed of 15 feet per minute, through a 54” long open belt loading zone, 105” long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and a 36” long open unloading zone.
800,000 BTU/HR are installed in a modulating gas burner, while a 6000 CFM, 5 HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.
No. 830 features 10” thick insulated walls, comprising 2” of 1900°F block and 8” of 10 lb./cu.ft. density rockwool insulation. This conveyor oven has an aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, motor-operated vertical lift doors at each end of the heat zone and 1/4” plate work surfaces at each end of the oven.
All safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment are built into this unit, including electronic flame safeguard protection, powered forced exhauster, exhauster airflow safety switch, purge timer, hi/lo gas pressure switches, manual reset main gas valve and testing device for tight closure of main gas valve.
This conveyor oven was entirely designed, engineered, built and fully tested by Grieve.

No. 1001 comprises two electrically-heated, 500ºF (~260ºC) universal ovens from Grieve, specially modified for simultaneous operation with reduced movement by one worker at the customer’s facility, in the performance of general heat processing operations. Workspace dimensions in each oven measure 24”W x 24”D x 24”H. 5KW are installed in Nichrome wire elements to heat each unit, while a 400 CFM, 1/3-HP recirculating blower provides front-to-rear universal airflow across the load in each unit.
These Grieve universal ovens each feature 4” insulated walls throughout, aluminized stainless steel interior and exterior, motor-operated vertical lift door with foot pedal actuation and an integral leg stand.
Identical controls on each oven of No. 1001 are housed in a NEMA 12 control panel, mounted on opposite sides of the respective ovens for easy access by one individual positioned between them. The controls on each oven include an automatic door switch to shut off heat and blower motor when the door is opened, as well as a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate control contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and 7-day, 24-hour start-up timer.

No. 794 is a three-zone, electrically-heated belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently in use curing a cast silicone rubber layer onto steel rollers. This unit has a maximum operating temperature of 500°F and a workspace of 30″ W x 96″ D x 24″ H.
The conveyor consists of an 18″ long open belt loading zone, 36″ long insulated unheated entrance vestibule, three 32″ long insulated heat zones with independent recirculated airflow and temperature control, 12″ long insulated unheated exit vestibule and 60″ long open unloading zone.
A 90 KW total heat input is installed in Nichrome wire heating elements, with 30 KW per heating zone. Three 1,000 CFM, 1 HP recirculating blowers provide vertical downward airflow to the workload.
No. 794 features aluminized steel interior and exterior, as well as 4″ thick insulated walls, a three-pen, 10″ dia. circular chart recorder and a 24″ W, 1″ x 1″ flatwire conveyor belt with 1/2 HP motor drive and variable speed from 1.5 to 4.3 inches per minute.
A customer-specified, multi-color paint finish was also supplied by Grieve on this conveyor oven.

No. 793 is an electrically-heated belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently in use drying moisture from tubular heating elements. This unit has a maximum operating temperature of 850°F and workspace dimensions of 24″ W x 12′ D x 15″ H.
The conveyor consists of a 2′ long open belt loading heat zone, 12′ long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and a 2′ long open unloading zone.
7″ thick insulated walls are featured throughout this rugged Grieve oven, which has 80 KW total heat input installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements. A 4,200 CFM, 3 HP reciruclating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.
No. 793 further features an aluminized steel interior and exterior, as well as an 18″ W, 1″ x 1″ flatwire conveyor belt with 1/3 HP motor drive and variable speed from 2.0 to 5.7 inches per minute.
This Grieve oven’s controls and indicators are all mounted in a single enclosure for easy access.
Adjustable dampers at each end of the heat zone can be lowered near the load to minimize heat loss during operation.

Workspace of this unit measures 38” W x 26” D x 38” H. 20 KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements, while an 800 CFM, 3/4-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.
This walk-in oven features 6” insulated walls, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior with continuously welded seams, disposable fresh air filter, stainless steel loading truck and a transfer dolly, including an oven-to-dolly latch and dolly-to-truck latch.
In addition, No. 800 has all safety equipment onboard to handle flammable solvents, including a minihelic pressure gauge to indicate internal oven pressure.

Workspace dimensions measure 24” W x 24”D x 36”H. 18KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular elements to heat the unit, while a 750 CFM, 3/4-HP recirculating blower motor provides horizontal front-to-rear airflow to the workload.
This Grieve inert atmosphere oven features 8” thick insulated walls comprising 2” of 1900ºF block and 6” of 10 lb/cf density rockwool, aluminized steel exterior and Type 304, 2B stainless steel interior with continuously backwelded seams. Special construction features for inert atmosphere use with the customer’s steam boiler include a pressure gauge, internal high-temperature gasket, all-welded expansion connection in doorway throat, air jacket on the inner oven for cooling, 1/2” thick cellular silicone rubber atmosphere door seal, blower shaft seal, positive door latching hardware, adjustable offset door hinges, outlet with pressure relief, all interior seams welded gas-tight and all wall penetrations fitted with compression fittings. An integral oven leg stand is also provided.

No. 791 is a gas-heated, two-zone belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used to stress relieve heavy-duty steel springs. This unit has a maximum operating temperature of 850°F and workspace dimensions of 48″ W x 360″ L x 15″ H.
The conveyor includes a 4′ long open belt loading zone, 2′ long insulated unheated entrance vestibule, two 15′ long insulated heating zones with independent recirculated airflow and temperature controls, 2′ long insulated unheated exit vestibule and 3 1/2′ long open unloading zone.
Heat is provided by 1,600,000 BTU/HR installed in two modulating natural gas burners. Two 10,000 CFM, 7 1/2 HP recirculating blowers provide vertical downward airflow over the workload.
All safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment are included on this Grieve oven, which also features a two-pen, 10″ diameter circular chart recorder.
Other construction features on No. 791 comprise a 42″ wide, 1″ x 1/2″ flatwire conveyor belt with 1/3 HP motor drive, variable speed from 5.8 to 16.1 inches per minute, 7″ insulated walls throughout, a Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior and an exhaust hood over each end of the oven, equipped with a 12″ dia. tubeaxial fan driven by a 1/2 HP motor.
