Inert Atmosphere Cabinet Oven from Grieve

873No. 873 is a 650ºF, electrically-heated inert atmosphere cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for processing corrosive materials at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 38” W x 50” D x 38” H.   40KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 2000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cabinet oven has 6” insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior, Inconel 600 interior with continuously backwelded seams and special exterior paint.  The oven also features full inert atmosphere construction, including pressure regulator, flow meter, pressure gauge, internal high-temperature gasket, all-welded expansion connection in the doorway throat, air jacket on inner oven for cooling, ½” thick cellular silicone rubber atmosphere seal, blower shaft seal, positive latching door hardware, adjustable offset door hinges, outlet with pressure relief, interior seams welded gas-tight and all wall penetrations fitted with compression fittings.

No. 873 has a 650 CFM blower to pull air through the air jacket on the inner oven for cooling, plus automatic dampers.  A hinged door jacket with 4” diameter connector to allow the jacket to be ventilated is also provided.

Sixteen pairs of shelf supports to support thirty-two Inconel 600 pans, with two pans on each level, plus loading truck tracks on the floor of the workspace, are built into this Grieve oven.

Controls on this inert atmosphere cabinet oven include a programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller, SCR power controller and fused disconnect switch.

Two-zone, Dual Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

No. 1022 is a 550ºF, electrically-heated, two-zone, dual belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for encapsulation curing of large electrical coils in fixtures at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 8’ W x 40’ D x 18” H.   480KW (240KW per zone) are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chambers, while two 20-HP recirculating blowers provide a 49,000 CFM vertical downward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve conveyor oven comprises a 2’ long open belt loading zone and 3’ long insulated, unheated entrance vestibule, two 20’ long insulated heat zones with independent recirculated airflow and temperature control, 3’ long insulated unheated exit vestibule and finally a 2’ long open unloading zone for the workpieces.

No. 1022 has 6” insulated walls throughout, aluminized steel interior/exterior and is split into two sections for shipping.  Side doors along the length of the oven permit access to the workload and heating chambers. This Grieve conveyor oven is built with all safety equipment required for handling flammable solvents and is constructed to NFPA 79/NEMA 12 electrical standards.

The oven further features two 3’ wide, 1-3/16” diameter cross bar conveyor belts with 1-HP motor drive, variable from 0.5 to 9 ipm.   The conveyor belt drive is used in either index or continuous mode.  Removable drip pans are provided below the conveyor assembly.

Controls on the oven include separate power and control panels, plus photo eyes at the unload station to signal an alarm, if the workpiece unloading is not cleared before conveyor indexing, SCR power controller for each zone and a tower light to indicate oven status.   All control functions are accessed through a touch screen HMI connected to the onboard PLC.

Walk-in Oven from Grieve

No. 951 is a 650ºF, electrically-heated, walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used for preheating large steel molds at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 72” W x 42” D x 72” H.   60KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 4200 CFM, 3-HP recirculating blower provides a combination airflow to the workload.

This Grieve walk-in oven features 5” insulated walls, top-mounted heat chamber, aluminized interior and exterior plus a free-standing oven rack with two 6000 lb. capacity shelves for the workpieces.

Controls on No. 951 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and recirculating blower airflow safety switch.

No. 858 is an 850ºF (454ºC) electrically-heated cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for annealing plastics at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 20” W x 20” D x 20” H.   10KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 600 CFM, 1/2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cabinet oven features 6” insulated walls and Type 430 stainless steel interior, all-welded construction plus explosion-venting latches on the heavy-duty door.

High-temp Inert Atmosphere Oven from Grieve

No. 966 is a 1250ºF, electrically-heated, inert atmosphere oven from Grieve, currently used for stress relief of machined steel at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 24” W x 36” D x 24” H.   18KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal front-to-rear airflow to the workload.

This Grieve high-temp, inert atmosphere oven features 10” insulated walls, comprising 2” of 1900ºF block and 8” of 10lb/cf density rockwool, aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, plus inner and outer door gaskets.  The inner gasket seals directly against the door plug, while the outer gasket seals directly against the front face of the oven.  An integral oven leg stand is also provided.

Inert atmosphere construction on this Grieve oven includes pressure gauge, internal high-temperature gasket, all-welded construction in the doorway throat, air jacket on inner oven for cooling, ½” thick cellular silicone rubber atmosphere seal, blower shaft seal, positive latching door hardware, adjustable offset door hinges, outlet with pressure relief, interior seams welded gas-tight and all wall penetrations fitted with compression fittings.  A 650 CFM stainless steel blower pulls air through the air jacket on the inner oven for cooling.

Vertical Conveyor Oven from Grieve

No. 959 is a 300ºF, electrically-heated, vertical conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for curing electronic parts at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 36” W x 89” D x 115” H.   40KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 6000 CFM, 5-HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve vertical conveyor oven features 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior, motor-operated vertical lift door at the loading/unloading opening and two (2) independent doors for access to the workspace.  Twenty-seven (27) product carrier trays, each 30” wide by 14” long, supported at each side by a heavy-duty roller chain, driven by a ½-HP drive motor, controlled by a variable frequency drive, are also included.

Controls on No. 959 include a digital temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower air flow safety switch, plus a tower light to indicate machine status.  The oven is built to exacting JIC/NEMA 12 electrical standards.

No. 855 is a 1250ºF electrically-heated, inert atmosphere cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for heat treating at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions on this oven measure 38” W x 26” D x 38” H.   40KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 1500 CFM, 1-1/2 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cabinet oven features 10” insulated walls comprising 2” of  1900ºF block and 8” of 10 lb/cf density rockwool insulation, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior with continuously backwelded seams, plus inner and outer door gaskets with the inner gasket sealing directly against the door plug while the outer gasket seals directly against the face of the oven.

Jumbo 500ºF Walk-in Oven from Grieve

No. 1019 is a 500ºF electrically-heated walk-in batch oven from Grieve, currently used for curing coatings onto large discs at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions on this oven measure 18’ W x 18’ D x 10’ H.   260KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a total of 66,000 CFM generated by two 30-HP recirculating blowers provides combination airflow to the workload.

This Grieve walk-in oven features 6” insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior and interior, 2” thick insulated flooring with built-in oven truck wheel guide tracks and motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling of the oven chamber.  The oven was sectioned into four pieces for shipping convenience.

All safety equipment required for handling flammable solvents, including explosion-venting door hardware, is provided on No. 1019.

750ºF Cabinet Oven from Grieve

997rtNo. 997 is a 750ºF electrically-heated cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for heating Teflon billets at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions on this oven measure 72” W x 72”D x 72”H.   100KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 10,000 CFM, 7-1/2 HP recirculating blower provides vertical upward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cabinet oven features 6” insulated walls, subway grating shelf at the bottom of the oven workspace rated for 2500 lb. loading and four (4) pairs of shelf supports rated at 200 lbs. per shelf.

Controls on No. 997 include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and 10” diameter circular chart recorder.

500ºF Rotary Hearth Oven from Grieve

No. 816 is a 500ºF gas-fired, rotary hearth oven from Grieve, currently used for preheating and curing powder coatings onto electric motor parts.  Workspace dimensions on this oven measure 54” W x 54”D x 72”H.   350,000 BTU/HR are installed in a modulating gas burner, while a 4200 CFM, 3 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve rotary hearth oven features aluminized steel interior and exterior with 4” insulated walls.  Two 48” diameter hearths, constructed from rolled angles and covered with perforated metal, carry the loads in process.  Each hearth is designed to rotate for 15 seconds, every time the motor-operated vertical lift door is opened and closed.  The hearths are driven by a 1/3 HP motor through a gear reducer with torque limiting device.

All safety equipment required by IRI, FM and National Fire Protection Association Standard 86 for gas-fired equipment are onboard No. 816, including a 325 CFM, 1/3 HP powered forced exhauster.
