250°F Electric Shelf Oven

926 GrieveNo. 926 is an electrically-heated, 250°F shelf oven and environmental test chamber from Grieve, currently used for age testing electrical/electronic components. 12kW installed in Nichrome wire elements provide heat to the load.  Workspace dimensions measure 68” W x 30”D x 66” H.  A 1000 CFM, 1 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow.

This Grieve shelf oven features 4”insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus a 20” W x 56” H double-pane Lexan window in each of the unit’s two doors.

No. 926 also includes a disposable fresh air filter, digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blow airflow safety switch and a remote control panel, shown separate in the photo provided here.

2000°F Gas-fired Pallet Furnace

925 GrieveNo. 925 is a gas-heated, 2000°F pallet furnace, currently used for heat treating.  Workspace dimensions measure 30”W x 48”D x 36”H.  700,000 BTU/HR are installed in two modulating natural gas burners with a floor-mounted combustion air blower.  This unit also includes a 325 CFM intake pressurizing blower, with motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling.

This Grieve pallet furnace is provided with 7” thick insulated walls, comprising 5” of 2300°F ceramic fiber and 2” of 1700°F ceramic fiber.  The workload rests on a removable pallet with 7” thick insulation, comprising 4-1/2” thick 2300°F firebrick and 2-1/2” thick 2300°F firebrick.

Built to JIC/NEMA 12 electrical standards, No. 925 includes all safety equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment.  In addition, a 10” diameter circular chart recorder, digital programming temperature controller and recirculating blower airflow safety switch.

2000°F Electric Heavy-duty Furnace from Grieve

921rtNo. 921 is an electrically-heated, 2000°F heavy-duty box furnace, currently used for various heat treatments at a customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions measure 24”W x 48”D x 24”H.  34KW power installed in nickel chrome wire coils, supported by vacuum-formed ceramic fiber, provides heat to the workload.  An in-door heating element further provides improved temperature uniformity in this furnace.

The unit features 7” thick insulated walls, comprising 5” of 2300°F ceramic fiber and 2” of 1700°F ceramic fiber while the 6-1/2” floor insulation consists of 4-1/2” of 2300°F firebrick and 2” of 1900°F block insulation.  This Grieve heavy-duty furnace has a 3/16” steel plate reinforced shell and 1/2” steel front plate construction.

No. 921 also includes a motor-operated vertical lift door, as well as a digital programming temperature controller and manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, for improved efficiency and safety.

350°F Gas-fired Shelf Oven from Grieve

918 GrieveNo. 918 is a gas-heated, 350°F shelf oven from Grieve, currently used for a variety of lower temperature heat processing operations at a customer’s facility.    Workspace dimensions measure 68”W x 30”D x 66”H.  100,000 BTU/hr. are installed in a modulating natural gas burner, while a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve shelf oven features an aluminized steel exterior and Type 430 stainless steel interior with 4” thick insulated walls, integrally welded construction and silicone rubber door gasket.

No. 918 has onboard all safety devices required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including a 325 CFM, 1/3-HP powered forced exhauster.  In addition, a digital indicating temperature controller displays actual and set point values.

Two nickel-plated wire shelves are included with channel shelf supports to prevent tipping.

Gas-heated Heavy-duty Box Furnace from Grieve

908 GrieveNo. 908 is a natural gas-heated, heavy-duty box furnace from Grieve, currently used at a commercial heat treater for various applications.  Maximum operating temperature is 2000°F and the workspace dimensions measure 48” W x 48” D x 48” H.  1,000,000 BTU/HR are installed in four (4) modulating natural gas burners with a floor-mounted combustion air blower (shown in photo) onboard.

This Grieve furnace features 7” thick walls, comprising 5” of 2300°F firebrick and 2” of 1700°F ceramic fiber insulation, plus a 7” thick floor made from 4-1/2” of 2300°F firebrick and 2-1/2” of 1900°F block insulation.  Additionally, a firebrick plate hearth supported by firebrick  piers is provided.

No. 908 also includes an air-operated vertical lift door and an automatic door switch to drive the burners to a low fire, whenever the door is opened.

This box furnace has a 3/16” thick steel plate reinforced shell, 1/2” thick steel front plate, brushed stainless steel control panel face and a firebrick doorsill to protect the furnace during loading.

All safety equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment is included.  No. 908 also features a digital indicating temperature controller and a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors.

Dual-chamber Bench Furnace from Grieve

886 GrieveNo. 886 is a dual-chamber electric bench furnace from Grieve, currently used for a variety of heat treating applications at a customer’s facility.  This unit comprises an upper chamber with operating temperatures to 2200°F and lower chamber with operating temperatures to 1250°F.  Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 12”W x 24”D x 12”H in the upper chamber and 12”W x 20”D x 12”H in the lower chamber.

40 kW installed in nickel chrome wire coils supported by ceramic plates, 20 kW in each chamber, to provide heat.  Heat resistant alloy recirculating blowers, powered by 1/2-HP motors, provide horizontal front-to-rear airflow in each chamber.

Each furnace chamber has 6” thick walls made from 2” of 2300°F ceramic fiber and 4” of block insulation.  Ceramic hearth plates support the workload in each chamber.

Both heating chambers have individual digital programming temperature controllers.  A Partlow MCR5000 2-pen circular chart recorder tracks the temperature in both chambers.

250°F Electric Shelf Oven for Drying Medical Equipment

881 GrieveNo. 881 is a 250°F electric shelf oven from Grieve, currently in use drying water from medical equipment.  Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 68”W x 30”D x 66”H.

12kW installed in Nichrome wire elements heat the workspace, while a 1,000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload.

This shelf oven features an aluminized steel exterior, a Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, a disposable fresh air filter, a 20”W x 60”H double-pane Lexan window in each door and an interior oven light with two 40-watt 48” long fluorescent bulbs to shine through the Lexan windows in the workspace ceiling.

No. 881 also includes a 325 CFM powered forced exhauster, a digital indicating temperature controller, a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch.

1400°F Electric Inert Atmosphere Tempering Furnace from Grieve

885 GrieveNo. 885 is a 1400°F electric, inert atmosphere tempering furnace from Grieve, currently used for heat treating weldments at a customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 24”W x 36”D x 24”H.

42 kW installed in nickel chrome wire coils, supported by a stainless steel frame, heat the workspace, while a heat resistant alloy recirculating blower, powered by a 5-HP motor, provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.

This tempering furnace features 7” thick insulated walls, comprising 1” of 2300°F ceramic fiber blanket, 2” of 1700°F ceramic fiber blanket, 2” of block insulatin and 2” of rockwool insulation.  The 6-1/2” thick furnace floor comprises 4-1/2” of 2300°F firebrick and 2” of block insulation.  16 ga. Stainless steel interior lagging and a stainless steel subway grating hearth are also included.

No. 885 has an electrically-operated vertical lift door with an automatic door switch to shut off the heaters when the door is opened.

Grieve’s inert atmosphere construction includes a continuously welded outer shell, a high-temperature door gasket, sealed heater terminal boxes, an inert atmosphere inlet and inert atmosphere outlet, plus a recirculating blower shaft seal.

This furnace also has an inert atmosphere flowmeter and digital programming temperature controller onboard.
