No. 882 is a specially-designed 500°F electric top-loading oven from Grieve, currently in use for testing downhole oil field equipment. Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 300”W x 12”D x 18”H. 34.8kW installed in Nichrome wire elements heat the workspace, while a 600 CFM horizontal front-to-rear airflow is provided by two 3-HP recirculating blowers.
The unit features an aluminized steel interior and exterior with 4” thick insulated walls, a reinforced 1/4” steel plate workspace floor to hold a 5,000 lb. Distributed load, a motor-operated rear-hinged door and a front flush-mounted control panel. The oven is supported on eight swivel casters with swivel locks and brakes for mobility.
No. 882 also includes a digital indicating temperature controller, a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch.

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 819, a Model LD-500, standard 500ºF electric top-loading oven.
This Grieve top-loading oven features rugged construction, with an aluminized steel interior and exterior, reinforced 1/4” steel plate top, wear bars at sides of workspace, reinforced floor for 4000 lbs. loading at removable subway grate and an automatically air-operated, rear-hinged door which opens fully for easy loading via overhead material handling equipment.
Standard equipment on No. 819 includes a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch. The UL Listed control panel is front-mounted on this oven for easy access.
All standard top loading ovens by Grieve meet the requirements of National Fire Protection Association Standard 86, Industrial Risk Insurers, Factory Mutual and OSHA standards.
This oven was entirely designed, engineered, built and fully tested by Grieve.

No. 848 is a special high-temperature 1000oF electrically-heated, top-loading oven from Grieve, currently used for preheating large steel molds at a customer’s facility.
Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 6’ wide x 3’ long x 3’ high. 80KW installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements provide the heat, while a 5,000 CFM, 5-HP recirculating blower furnishes horizontal airflow across the load.
This Grieve oven features 8” insulated walls, an aluminized steel interior and exterior, reinforced ¼” steel plate top, air-operated rear-hinged door, wear bars at the sides of the workspace and a floor reinforced for 2,000 lb. load on a removable subway grate.
Safety and control equipment on No. 848 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch.
