500°F Electric Top-loading Oven

1007 GrieveNo. 1007 is an electrically-heated, 500º F (~260ºC) top-loading oven from Grieve, currently used for curing composite components. Workspace dimensions are 26-1/2’ wide x 2’ deep x 2-1/2’ high. 60 KW are installed in Nichrome wire heating elements and three (3) 3-HP recirculating blowers total 9000 CFM to provide horizontal rear-to-front airflow to the workload.

This Grieve top-loading oven features 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior, motor-operated rear-hinged door and compressed air manifold with eight connections. The unit meets NEMA 12 electrical standards, while the floor of the workspace is reinforced for 5000 lb. loading to support the customer’s fixtures.

Controls onboard No. 1007 include a digital programming temperature controller, 16-point strip chart recorder and tower light to indicate machine status.

350°F Electric Tunnel Oven

1006No. 1006 is an electrically-heated 350°(~177°C) gravity roller design, conveyorized tunnel oven from Grieve, currently used for drying precipitate in pans at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 66” wide x 19’ deep x 15” high. 120 KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 17,500 CFM, 15-HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow.

This Grieve oven features 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior and a gravity roller conveyor with 1.9” diameter rollers on 6” centers.  It also includes a 4’ long open loading zone, 19’ long insulated heat zone and 4’ long open uploading zone.

Additionally, controls on No. 1006 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate control contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and NEMA 12 control enclosure with fused disconnect.

500°F Gas-heated Two-zone Conveyor Oven from Grieve

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 810, a 500°F gas-heated, two-zone belt conveyor oven, currently in use for curing aluminum pistons at a customer’s facility.

Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 42” wide x 24’ deep x 15” high.  The workloads travel atop a 36” wide, 1” x 1” high carbon steel flat wire conveyor belt with 1/4 HP motor drive, variable from 0.8 to 15 inches per minute, through an 18” long open loading zone;  36” long insulated heat zone with 2 HP, 2000 CFM recirculated airflow;  16” long insulated, unheated vestibule;  16’ long insulated heat zone with 10 HP, 12,500 CFM recirculated airflow;  12” long open zone;  36” long cooling zone and finally an 18” long open unloading zone.

350,000 BTU/HR are installed in modulating natural gas burners in each of the two heating zones on this Grieve conveyor oven.  An aluminized steel exterior houses 4” insulated walls, Type 304 stainless steel interior with continuously welded seams in Zone One and aluminized steel interior in Zone Two.

A 16” diameter tubeaxial fan driven by a 3/4 HP motor pulls room air through the cooling zone.

All safety equipment required for gas heated equipment by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 is on No. 810, including 325 CFM, 1/3 HP  powered forced exhausters, airflow safety switches, hi/lo gas pressure switches, excess temperature controllers and electronic flame safeguard protection.

This unit also features doors at both ends of the workspace to contain heat, as well as pushbutton electric ignition for ease of operation and a recording thermometer.   No. 810 was entirely designed, engineered, built and fully tested by Grieve.

Two-zone 500ºF Electric Cabinet Oven from Grieve

No. 840 is a 500oF electrically-heated, two-zone vertical airflow cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used to dry coatings on fishing line at a customer’s facility.

840 GrieveWorkspace dimensions of the top heating chamber measure 36” wide x 12” deep x 36” high, while the lower chamber is 36” wide x 12” deep x 60” high.  30KW installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements (15KW per chamber) provide the heat, while two 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blowers provide vertical airflow in each heating zone

This Grieve oven has aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus 4” insulated walls throughout.  Eight ¾” diameter ports through the roof and floor of each heating zone allow the workload to pass through.

500ºF Two-zone Top-loading Oven

1012No. 1012 is an electrically-heated, 500ºF (~230ºC) top-loading oven from Grieve, currently used for testing electronic equipment. Two zones, each 96” wide x 12” deep x 12” high, can be separated for use as independent ovens. 24 KW (12 KW per load) are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements and two 1/3-HP recirculating blowers provide a total horizontal airflow of 1200 CFM to the workload.

This Grieve top-loading oven features 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior, manually operated rear hinged door, reinforced flooring that can accommodate a load up to 500 lbs. and swivel casters with swivel lock and wheel brakes.

Controls onboard No. 1012 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and recirculating blower airflow safety switch.

550ºF Electric Belt Conveyor Oven from Grieve

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 820, a 550°F electric belt conveyor oven, currently in use for heat treating mattress springs at a customer’s facility.

Workloads travel atop an 84” wide, 1” x 1” high-carbon steel flat wire conveyor belt with 1/2 HP motor drive, variable from 2.9 to 8 feet per minute, through a 6’ long open belt loading zone; 20’ long, insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and, finally, a 6’ long open unloading zone.

360 kW  power is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 24,500 CFM, 20 HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow onto the workload.

No. 820 features rugged Grieve construction, with an all-welded aluminized steel exterior, Type 430 stainless steel interior, 4” insulated walls and heavy-duty structural steel channel base.

Safety equipment on this jumbo conveyor oven includes a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and an exhaust hood over each end equipped with a 12” diameter tubeaxial fan driven by a 3/4 HP motor.

500°F Electric Truck Oven from Grieve

817 GrieveGrieve Corporation introduces No. 817, a 500°F electric truck oven. This Grieve unit is a modified version of the company’s standard TBH-500 truck oven. The customer’s process required the optional Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior. All portions of the oven, which come in contact with the heated air, are constructed from Type 304 stainless steel including supply and return ductwork, the entire heat chamber and the recirculating blower wheel.

Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 48” wide x  48” deep x 60” high.  24kW installed power is provided by Nichrome wire heating elements, while a 2000 CFM, 2 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload.

No. 815 features rugged Grieve construction, including 4” insulated walls, 2” insulated floor with truck wheel guide tracks, and an aluminized steel exterior and Type 304.

A digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors and recirculating blower airflow safety switch are among the safety equipment built into this Grieve truck oven.

Double front doors feature a silicone rubber door gasket and explosion-venting latches.

This unit was entirely designed, engineered, built and full tested by Grieve.

1000°F Electric High-temperature Universal Oven from Grieve

Grieve Corporation introduces No. 818, a 1000°F high-temperature universal oven, currently in use for cleaning and heat treating fuel nozzles at a customer’s facility.

818 GrieveWorkspace dimensions inside this unit measure 24” wide x 36” deep x 24” high.  24kW power is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements.  A 1000 CFM, 3/4 HP recirculating blower provides a front-to-back horizontal “universal” airflow to completely surround the workload.

This Grieve oven features 8” thick insulated walls, an aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus inner and outer door gaskets.  The inner gasket seals directly against the door plug, while the other gasket seals directly against the front face of the oven for optimum seal integrity.  The unit accommodates up to seven shelves on 3” centers.

Standard equipment includes a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors, a recirculating blower airflow safety switch and a UL Listed control panel, top-mounted to minimize floor space requirements.

All standard universal ovens by Grieve meet the requirements of National Fire Protection Association Standard 86, Industrial Risk Insurers, Factory Mutual and OSHA Standards.

350ºF Electric Cabinet Oven

1013 GrieveNo. 1013 is an electrically-heated, 350ºF (~177ºC) cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for curing rubber parts at the customer’s facility.  Eight workspace openings with roller supported shelves each measure 36” W x 6-1/4” H x 24” D.  45 KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 7800 CFM, 5-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the common central duct of the oven to heat the load.

This Grieve cabinet oven features 4” thick insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior, top mounted heat chamber with access doors and 200 lb. capacity shelves that extend 24” in front of the oven for easier loading.

No. 1013 is also equipped with a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and all required safety equipment for handling flammable solvents, including explosion venting door hardware.  A programmable timer, interlocked to each door via a proximity switch, plus green lights for each door to indicate when curing time is completed are also onboard this oven.

No. 847 is a 500oF electrically-heated, rotary hearth oven from Grieve, currently used for preheating magnesium alloy castings prior to a shrink fit operation, at a customer’s facility.

847 GrieveWorkspace dimensions of this oven measure 48” wide x 48” deep x 60” high.  34.8KW installed in Nichrome heating elements furnish the heat, while a 2000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the load.

A two-tiered 44” diameter solid hearth with perforated separators at 900 is manually rotated during loading and unloading.

This Grieve oven features 4” insulated walls, an aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus two independent air-operated doors for access to the workspace.

Safety equipment is on-board to handle flammable solvents, including explosion-venting door hardware, manual reset excess temperature controller, back-up heating element relay, separately-powered forced exhauster, exhauster airflow safety switch, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and purge timer.
