Jumbo 500ºF Walk-in Oven From Grieve

No. 1019 is a 500ºF electrically heated walk-in batch oven from Grieve, currently used for curing coatings onto large discs at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions on this oven measure 18’ W x 18’ D x 10’ H.   260KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a total of 66,000 CFM generated by two 30-HP recirculating blowers provides combination airflow to the workload. 

This Grieve walk-in oven features 6” insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior and interior, 2” thick insulated flooring with built-in oven truck wheel guide tracks and motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling of the oven chamber.  The oven was sectioned into four pieces for shipping convenience. 

All safety equipment required for handling flammable solvents, including explosion-venting door hardware, is provided on No. 1019. 

Controls on this jumbo walk-in oven include an SCR power controller.

500°F Top-Loading Oven From Grieve

This Grieve oven is a 500°F (260°C) top-loading, electrically heated oven, currently used for heat treating parts at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 96” W x 20” D x 20” H.  18 KW are installed in Incoloy heating elements, while a 2 HP blower provides back to front airflow to the workload. 

This Grieve top-loading oven features 6” insulated walls, 16-gauge aluminized steel interior and a bottom reinforced for 800 lb. capacity. Additional features include a heat chamber mounted below the workspace and a pneumatic “L” shaped door.

Controls on this Grieve oven include a programmable temperature controller, separate heating element control contactors, a disconnect switch and a power controller to ensure precision proportioning of electric power to heating elements.

This Grieve oven is a 400°F (204°C) electrically heated shelf oven, currently used for heat treating parts at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 56” W x 30” D x 60” H.  15 KW are installed for heat input, while a 1000 CFM, 1 HP blower provides side-to-side horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve shelf oven features 6” insulated walls, integrally welded construction, channel shelf supports and nickel-plated wire shelves. Additional features include 304 stainless steel interior and Trilite Green enamel painted aluminized steel exterior.

Grieve Inert Atmosphere Oven

This Grieve oven is a 1250°F (667°C) inert atmosphere oven, currently used for heat treating firearms components at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 48” W x 48” D x 36” H.  30 KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 1400 CFM, 1-1/2 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.  Inert atmosphere ovens protect parts from oxidation using any non-flammable gas such as nitrogen, argon or carbon dioxide.

This Grieve inert atmosphere oven features 12” insulated walls, all interior seams welded gas-tight, an air jacket on the inner oven for cooling, 16” high integral oven stand, 16-gauge 304 stainless steel interior and enamel-painted aluminized steel exterior.  The oven is reinforced for 2000 lb. loads, allowing the customer’s part rack to sit on the oven work space floor. 

The oven meets all requirements for inert atmosphere construction, including those in NFPA 86, FM and OSHA standards. 

Controls on this Grieve oven include a programmable temperature controller with data logging, capability, 975 CFM cooling blower with air flow safety switch and automatic purge solenoid.  An inert atmosphere inlet (1/2” NPT) with pressure regulator maintains positive pressure within the oven.

Although the company offers hundreds of standard models, Grieve also has unique customization abilities to engineer the best equipment for one’s application; the site details many custom ovens and furnaces as well.

Site visitors can browse Grieve’s selections of ovens and furnaces and submit a request for quotation; the viewer can find the equipment that fits their process needs, along with compatible modifications and accessories, and submit a message directly to Grieve for a customized quotation that can be tailored to a specific process or application.

Ordering replacement parts is made simple with the Ecommerce platform. Customers can search by part type to find parts needed for their equipment, and order directly from the website. Grieve Cleanroom Electric Oven

500ºF Class 100 Cleanroom Electric Cabinet Pass-Through Oven From Grieve

Grieve Cleanroom Electric OvenNo. 971 is an electrically-heated, 500ºF (257ºC) Class 100 cleanroom cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used to sterilize glassware at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions measure 36” W x 36” D x 39” H.  20KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular elements to heat the unit, while a 1200 CFM, 1-1/2 HP recirculating blower motor provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cleanroom oven features 4” thick insulated walls throughout and a Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior with 1/2” inside radius corners, all seams welded, ground and polished.  The stainless steel exterior has a #4 brushed finish.  The unit is equipped with front and rear access doors for pass-through to the cleanroom plus an integral wall sealing flange.  A red pilot light onboard the oven signals when the opposite door is open.  All door hardware is chrome plated.

For Class 100 cleanroom compliance, this cabinet oven has a 12” x 12” x 6” thick HEPA fresh air filter with 2” prefilter and a 30” x 24” x 6” thick stainless steel high temperature HEPA recirculating filter.

Controls on No. 971 include a minihelic pressure gauge and DOP validation port across each set of filters, digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, 10” diameter circular chart temperature recorder, fused disconnect switch and an SCR power controller.

A stainless steel loading truck with six removable pans and a transfer dolly with oven-to-dolly and dolly-to-truck latches are also furnished with this Grieve oven.

Grieve 954

2000°F Inert Atmosphere Heavy-Duty Box Furnace

No. 954Grieve 954 is an electrically-heated 2000°F(~1093°C) inert atmosphere heavy-duty box furnace from Grieve, currently used for heat treating titanium at the customer’s facility. 57 KW are installed in nickel chrome wire coils, supported by vacuum-formed ceramic fiber, to heat the load. Workspace dimensions are 30” wide x 48” deep x 30” high. The oven’s 7” thick insulated walls comprise 5” of 2300°F ceramic fiber and 2” of 1700°F ceramic fiber, while the 6-1/2” floor insulation comprises 4-1/2” of 2300°F firebrick and 2” of 1200°F block insulation.

The unit is equipped with a roof-mounted heat-resisting alloy recirculating fan, powered by a 1-HP motor with V-belt drive, motor-operated vertical lift door, 100 lb. capacity alloy loading cart with cast alloy roller rails, 3-1/2” diameter cast alloy rollers and a roller rail loading table with 4” diameter cast iron rollers.

This Grieve furnace also features inert atmosphere construction, consisting of a continuously welded outer shell, high temperature door gasket, sealed heater terminal boxes, inert atmosphere inlet, inert atmosphere outlet and inert atmosphere flowmeter.

Controls onboard No. 954 include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, plus a strip chart recorder.

1050°F Cabinet Oven from Grieve

Grieve Cabinet OvenNo. 1049 is a 1050°F (566°C), cabinet oven with two drawers from Grieve, currently used for annealing or normalizing processes at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 39” W x 102” D x 51” H, with two drawers rated 250 lbs. loading with 36” wide x 78” deep x 15” high loading area. 800,000 BTU/hour installed in a modulating natural gas burner, while a 10,000 CFM, 7-1/2 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve oven features 10” thick insulated walls comprised of 2” 2000°F ceramic blanket and 8” of 10 lb/cf density rockwool. Features include a top mounted heat chamber, aluminized steel exterior and Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior. Additional features include a rear door for access to workspace and heat chamber, exhaust hood over drawers and motorized dampers on intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling.

The oven includes all safety equipment required by IRI, FM and National Fire Protection Association Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment, including 1800 CFM stainless steel powered forced exhauster. It also meets AMS2750, Class 2 (±10F), Type C (survey thermocouple at hottest and coldest location).

Controls on the No. 1049 include a digital indicating temperature controller, two digital shutdown timers, one for burner and one for oven and a circuit breaker disconnect switch.
