500° Walk-In Oven From Grieve

No. 958 is a 500° (260°C), electrically heated walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used for heat treating long fluorocarbon shapes supported by fixtures on wheels at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 36” W x 300” D x 36” H. 60KW are installed in lncoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 4200 CFM, 3-HP recirculating blower provides combination airflow to the workload.

This Grieve walk-in oven has 4” insulated walls and an aluminized steel interior and exterior. Features include an integral top mounted heat chamber, single door front and rear, 2” insulated floor with channel guide tracks and two (2) fixture supports with flanged wheels.

Controls on No. 958 include a digital programming and recording temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors plus recirculating blower airflow safety switch and SCR power controller.

Two-Compartment Universal Oven From Grieve

 

Grieve_978No. 978 is a 500ºF, electrically-heated, two-compartment universal style oven from Grieve, currently used for various machine shop operations at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 30” W x 36” D x 36” H in each of the two heating zones.  6.6 KW per zone (13.2 KW total) are installed in Nichrome wire elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 600 CFM, 1/2-HP recirculating blower provides front-to-rear universal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve universal oven features 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, double doors and an integral leg stand.

 Controls on No. 978 include a digital indicating temperature controller in each compartment of the oven, manual reset excess temperature controllers with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switches and a 10” diameter circular chart recorder, one per compartment, to record part temperatures.

350°F Belt Conveyor Oven

864rtNo. 864 is a 350ºF, natural gas-heated belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for drying gold ore samples at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 6-1/2’ W x 35’ D x 1-1/2’ H.   1,650,000 BTU are installed in a modulating natural gas burner to heat the oven chamber, while a 24,500 CFM, 20 HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve oven features a 5’ long open belt loading zone, 35’ long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and 1’ long open belt unloading zone, plus 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel interior and exterior.   A 6’ wide, 1” x 1” galvanized steel, flat wire conveyor belt with ¼ HP motor drive, variable from 5 to 50 feet per hour, transports the workload.  Side access doors are provided along the length of the workspace to inspect the load and service the heating chamber.

All safety equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment are provided on this belt conveyor oven, including a 1500 CFM, 2 HP powered forced exhauster.

Controls on No. 864 include a conveyor belt start/stop, digital indicating current proportioning temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller, variable SCR drive to control conveyor belt speed, pilot lights to indicate when blower and heat are energized, pushbutton electronic ignition, on-off heat switch and main oven control pushbuttons.   The NEMA 12 control panel is equipped with a lockable fused disconnect switch.

500ºC (932ºF) Inert Atmosphere Oven for Heating Polymer Fibers

1033rtNo. 1033 is a 500ºC (932ºF) inert atmosphere oven from Grieve, currently used for heating polymer fibers at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 54” W x 36” D x 84” H.   60 KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 10,000 CFM, 7-1/2 HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve oven features 8” thick insulated walls plus an aluminized steel exterior and Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior.  The inert atmosphere construction comprises a gas pressure regulator, flow meter, pressure gauge, internal high-temperature gasket, all welded expansion connection in doorway throat, air jacket on inner oven for cooling, ½” thick cellular silicone rubber atmosphere seal, blower shaft seal, pneumatic positive latching door hardware, adjustable offset door hinges, outlet with pressure relief, interior seams all welded gas-tight plus all wall penetrations are fitted with compression fittings.  A 0-1500 CFM blower pulls air through the air jacket on the inner oven for faster cooling.

Controls on No. 1033 include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating airflow safety switch, paperless event recorder, SCR power controller and trace level oxygen analyzer.

Gravity-Conveyorized Tunnel Oven for Preheating Metal Housings

1008rtoutlinedNo. 1008 is a 500ºF tunnel oven with gravity roller conveyor from Grieve, currently used for preheating metal housings at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 42” W x 72” D x 30” H.   30 KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 3000 CFM, 1-1/2 HP recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve tunnel oven features 4” thick insulated walls plus an aluminized steel interior and exterior.  The work zone comprises a 66” long open loading zone, 72” long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and 66” long open unloading zone, with a 36” wide roller conveyor with rollers on 3” centers.  Motor-operated vertical lift doors are supplied on each end of the oven.

Controls on No. 1008 are built to NEMA 12 electrical standards and include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch.

350ºF Gas-Fired Jumbo Walk-in Oven for Processing Composite Structures

No.996 is a gas-fired, 350ºF (177ºC) jumbo walk-in oven, currently used for batch processing large composite structures.  Workspace dimensions measure 10’ W x 32’ D x 8’ H.  1,200,000 BTU/HR are installed in a modulating natural gas burner to heat the unit, while 49,000 CFM total from two (2) 20HP recirculating blowers provide combination airflow to the workloads.

This Grieve jumbo walk-in batch oven features 4” insulated walls throughout, removable top-mounted heat chamber (shown removed in photo), the oven body split into four 

(4) sections for shipment with mating angle iron frames for easy reassembly in the field, plus aluminized steel interior and exterior.

All safety equipment required by IRI, FM and National Fire Protection Association Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment are onboard No. 996, including an 8000 CFM powered forced exhauster for quick purge and cool down, motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling, as well as a 10” diameter circular chart recording and programming temperature controller.

2000°F Gas-Heated Box Furnace for Heat Treating and High Temp Testing

No. 871 is a 2000°F (~1093.3°C) gas-heated box furnace from Grieve, currently used for heat treating and high temperature testing. 650,000 BTU/HR are installed in three modulating natural gas burners with a floor mounted combustion air blower. Workspace dimensions are 30” wide x 48” deep x 30” high.

The unit has 7” insulated walls comprised of 5” of 2300°F ceramic fiber and 2” of 1700°F block insulation. The 6½” floor insulation is made of 4½” of 2300°F firebrick and 2” of 1900°F block insulation. The plate hearth is made of firebrick and is supported by firebrick piers.

This Grieve bench oven features 5” insulated walls, stainless steel exterior with #4 brushed finish, Type 304, 3B finish stainless steel interior, integral oven stand and an 8” x 10” double-pane Pyrex/Vycor viewing window.

997rtNo. 997 is a 750ºF electrically-heated cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for heating Teflon billets at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions on this oven measure 72” W x 72”D x 72”H.   100KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 10,000 CFM, 7-1/2 HP recirculating blower provides vertical upward airflow to the workload.

This Grieve cabinet oven features 6” insulated walls, subway grating shelf at the bottom of the oven workspace rated for 2500 lb. loading and four (4) pairs of shelf supports rated at 200 lbs. per shelf.

1000°F Inert Atmosphere Oven

No. 872 is an electrically-heated 1000°F (~532°C) inert atmosphere oven from Grieve, currently used for annealing copper foil parts. 36 KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements. Workspace dimensions are 36” wide x 48” deep x 36” high.   A 2000 CFM, 2 HP recirculating blower provides universal airflow to the workload.

The oven has 8” thick insulated walls comprised of 2” of 1900°F block and 6” of 10 lb/cf density rockwool, plus an aluminized steel exterior and interior.  A structural steel base is provided to raise the roller rails to a 20” loading height.  These roller rails, mounted on the bottom of the oven workspace, are rated for 2000 lb. loads.

No. 872 features Grieve inert atmosphere oven construction, which includes a pressure regulator, flow meter, pressure gauge, internal high-temperature gasket, all welded construction in the doorway throat, air jacket on inner oven for cooling, ½” thick cellular silicone rubber atmosphere seal, blower shaft seal, positive latching door hardware, adjustable offset door hinges, outlet with pressure relief, interior seams welded gas-tight and all wall penetrations fitted with compression fittings.

A 975 CFM blower with automatic dampers pulls air through the air jacket on the inner oven for cooling, while the oven’s quick-purge system includes a 1200 SCFH flow meter and solenoid to open the outlet.

Controls onboard No. 872 include a recording and programming temperature recorder and fused disconnect switch.
