Large-capacity 500ºF Electric Walk-in Oven

No. 857 is an electrically-heated 500°F (~260°C) walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used for annealing plastics at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions are 7’ wide x 12’ deep x 7’ high. 100 KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 17,500 CFM, 15 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

The oven has 4” thick insulated walls, plus an aluminized steel interior and exterior. The door sill on this unit was eliminated and both oven doors are equipped with drag seals. Wear bars were also installed on the sides of the workspace for added durability.

Controls onboard No. 857 include a 975 CFM powered forced exhauster and motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling of the oven chamber.

No. 877 is a 500°F electric walk-in oven from Grieve, currently in use for a variety of heat processing applications at a customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 108”W x 144”D x 84”H.

140 kW installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular elements heat the workspace, while a 17,500 CFM, 30-HP recirculating blower provides a combination airflow to the workload.

This jumbo walk-in oven features an aluminized steel interior and exterior, 4” thick insulated walls, exceptionally heavy-duty walls with high-temperature stainless steel spring insert door gaskets, a brushed stainless steel control panel face and rear-mounted heat chamber.

No. 877 also includes a digital programming temperature controller and a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors.

No. 835 is a 1200ºF electrically-heated walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used for heat treating steel parts at a customer’s facility.

Workspace inside this oven measures 48” wide x 72” deep x 72” high and a maximum temperature of 1200ºF is provided by 120KW power, installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements. A 10,000 CFM, 7 ½-HP recirculating blower provides combination vertical/horizontal airflow to the load.

No. 835 features an aluminized steel exterior, 16 ga. stainless steel interior and 10” thick insulated walls, comprising 2” of 1900ºF block and 8” of 10 lb. density rockwool insulation, as well as a 7” insulated floor with integral truck wheel guide tracks.

Safety and control equipment on this Grieve oven includes a 325 CFM powered forced exhauster, digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, and a 4-pen circular chart recorder.
